Direct Access Colonoscopy Exam

Short on Time? Skip the initial consult with Direct Access Screening Colonoscopy

This program is for individuals that are 50 years of age, have no GI symptoms and are otherwise healthy.

Under the program, a patient can contact the office and request that they be scheduled for a Direct Access Screening Colonoscopy. Upon review of your medical information by the physician, which will take about 14 days, patients who meet the medical criteria can then have their procedure.

We will need the following information to determine if you're eligible for this program:

  • Intake forms
  • Direct Access Screening Colonoscopy questionnaire.
  • Copy of the front and back of your insurance card.
  • Referral from your insurance, if your insurance requires it. (please call your insurance carrier to verify if a referral is needed)
  • Your most recent history and physical or office visit notes from your primary care or referring physician.

Once we have received all the required information, our physician will review all the medical information to insure that you are a candidate for a Direct Access Screening Colonoscopy. Again, this process takes about 14 days from the receipt of this information and we will contact you to schedule your procedure. If you do not hear from us within 14 days, please call our office at 305-294-1041 option 3.

Patients who do not meet the criteria for the program will be contacted to schedule an office visit prior to scheduling their colonoscopy.
